Job Requirements:
- University bachelor degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration, or relevant field.
- Minimum five years of demonstrated management experience, at least two of which are in a nongovernment organization.
- Fluency/Proficient in English (Speaking, listening, reading, writing and reporting), and Arabic and/or Kurdish languages.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Word. Excel. Outlook, etc.) and email.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking and coordination skills.
- Strong teambuilding. leadership and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of NE Syria context and situation of the region.
- Demonstrated experience with training and capacity-building.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel when required.
- Flexible, committed and patient
Job Description:
- Receive purchase requisition from program staff, review for accuracy and plan for procurement of supplies and services as per organization rules and regulation, program award’s terms and references and donor’s procurement guidelines/ rules/ codes. Ensure that procured goods and services are reasonable, allowable and allocable at all time. Contact first and second supervisor for any query on procurement. Ensure that organization standards of code of conduct is always met while undertaking procurement, especially the parts that highlights avoiding conflict of interest and not receiving gifts from suppliers.
- Facilitate border crossing, reception, store and distribution of supplies (Schedule the shipments with organization Duhok/Erbil teams, submit the required documents to the concerned local authorities to get approvals, etc.).
- Oversee the storage, packing and management of stocks (NFI ‘flour supplies, stationery, logistics materials etc.). Comply with the safe storage guidelines (ventilation, protection. access, maintenance, etc.). perform regular physical check and update inventory and storage cards.
- Secure and organize organization staff transportation, sufficient vehicles and labors for supply shipments (from the border to organization warehouses, then to the planned destinations of distribution, enter data into forms and prepare documents for Syria/Iraq sides, etc.).
- Define and implement all construction and restoration activities (equipment, furniture, communications, etc.). and supervise the quality of products and provided services, timeframes and competitiveness of prices.
- Close coordination with NFI/Flour field coordinators and other departments to recognizc and prepare their daily activities logistic needs.
- Supervise and guide the logistic team, ensure that staff understand and follow organization standards of code of conduct while undertaking procurement, especially the parts that highlights avoiding conflict of interest and not receiving gifts from suppliers.
- Perform any other related duties as required.
- Lease and rent of sufficient buildings (offices, warehouses, caravans …) and follow up their contracts
- Coordination at the logistics level with companies and other partners contracted with the organization
