Qualifications/Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the field of education, economics, humanities, or any other relevant field
- More than 2 years of work experience after college/university – obligatory
- Experience in implementing TVET or other livelihoods projects – desired
- Experience in report writing – desired
- Experience in working for international or local non-governmental organizations – desired
- Fluent Kurdish and Arabic, both written and spoken – obligatory
- Knowledge of English– obligatory
Interpersonal, Communication and Coordination Skills:
- Punctual and attentive to detail
- Excellent organization and coordination skills with capacity to prioritize, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines
- Proactive and able to cope with a challenging and constantly-evolving humanitarian work environment, often under pressure
- A strong commitment towards humanitarian relief and disaster operations. It is of utmost priority that candidates understand, respect and actively promote the spirit of the mandate and core humanitarian values, including: humanity and the humanitarian imperative, independence, impartiality, neutrality, and accountability in aid.
Job Description:
General
- The TVET Program Assistant supports TVET Program Officer to track day-to-day activities of the TVET program.
- Feeding into the information sharing mechanism in the field and with Erbil and Gaziantep providing with data and field updates to the TVET Program Manager (daily activity reports, WhatsApp).
- Respect the security guidelines as set in the Program Security Plan.
- Supervising the process of collecting and updating data from local councils periodically.
- Follow up on adherence to basic protection standards during activities
- Conduct other activities as requested by line manager.
Responsibilities:
– Assist TVET Program Officer in conducting need assessments as required identifying needs in the operations areas.
– Support TVET PO in ensuring that all partners and local councils understand the terms of the contracts/MOUs.
– Make sure that the activities are going well according to the plan and strategy, following PIN’ rules and policies.
– Conduct regular project monitoring to ensure quality of activities & identify any challenges or delays.
– Ensure accountability to project beneficiaries and local stakeholders.
– Assist in ensuring all beneficiaries receiving their dues.
– Ensure proper filing of project documents.
– Inform TVET PO of any opportunities, challenges or changes to the programming environment in the field.
– Ensure effective and timely communication with all stakeholders of the project as requested by TVET PO.
– Assist in collecting and reporting any new security information, incident or any change of the context to the line manager.
