Job Requirements:
- Familiarity with the humanitarian context affecting Syrian communities;
- Experience of working for an international humanitarian organisation is desirable;
- Minimum required education – University degree in education, psychology, pedagogy, social work or relevant (obligatory);
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in child care, teaching or similar (obligatory);
- Previous experience in CFS/PSS will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Previous experience in working with children with special needs will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Experience in report writing (desired);
Interpersonal, Communication and Coordination Skills:
- Patient and ability to control big classes;
- Proactive, creative, innovative, and eager to constantly improve quality of projects;
- Excellent organization, coordination, analytical skills; and capacity to prioritize, and communicate effectively;
Job Description:
- Supervise, coordinate and provide ongoing support for CFS/PSS activities in Twahina/Mahmoudli camps,
- In coordination with CFS Officer, prepare the content and tools of CFS/PSS activities targeted at children (5-13 years old) including children with special needs,
- Supervise and monitor the work of CFS/PSS facilitators in Twahina/Mahmoudli camps,
- Make sure the CFS and PSS Programs are conducted according to the agreed plan of action and schedule,
- Supervise and ensure safe and child friendly atmosphere within the child friendly space,
- Supervise and ensure that children feel comfortable, safe, and respected,
- In coordination with CFS/PSS Facilitators, register attendance of children on a daily basis, and report weekly,
- In coordination with CFS/PSS Facilitators, establish a rotation system to promote the sharing of equipment and games between children,
- Monitor that all games and equipment are accounted for and stored securely at the end of the day,
- Facilitate awareness creation and sensitization of communities in child protection and participation,
- Ability to identify problems and resolutions,
- Identify CFS/PSS team training needs and capacity building and assist in recruitment of team members,
- Identify children in distress and ensure an effective functioning of referral systems,
- Understand and abide by the principles of the CFS and the established codes of conduct, child protection policies, and other relevant guidelines,
- Any other task as requested by PIN’s CFS/PSS team
