– Experience in protection activities is a strong asset

 

الوصف الوظيفي:

  • Strategic development and orientation

– Undertake regular site visits with partners to provide onsite support and to promote commitment and accountability reflexes towards protection mainstreaming among WASH, Shelter and Health staff;

– Assess and report protection risks and needs in the context of intervention (especially risks directly or indirectly linked with project intervention) and support identification of concrete and culturally appropriate mitigation measures;

– Map protection actors and services available in Hasakeh Governorate and ensure the services and stakeholders mapping is extensively disseminated and regularly updated;

– Facilitate referral pathways for partners working in Hasakeh Governorate by supporting documentation, submission and follow-up of referrals.

– Assist Protection Specialist and Protection Assistant to facilitate trainings for LEARN non-specialized staff on protection and relevant topics (e.g.: protection mainstreaming, accountability to beneficiaries, inclusion);

– Support roll-out and use of tools, guidance and methodologies to mainstream protection across intervention, and contribute to learning initiatives and processes;

  • Protection mainstreaming within the project cycle

– Work closely with the ME(A)L department at partner level to ensure a protection-sensitive Complaint and Response Mechanism is functional at all sites under the project;

– Utilize Protection Mainstreaming Impact Score Cards at regular intervals to assess protection mainstreaming efforts for partners.

  • Coordination and referral mechanisms

– Ensure staff are equipped to safely and ethically refer protection cases to service providers utilizing the regional referral pathway system;

– Build relationships with local protection actors to support referral pathways;

– Support the field staff on coordination over protection issues and needs that are not addressed.
