  • Strong Kurdish/Arabic skills, written and spoken.
  • good computer skills (MS Office, including Outlook for email).

Preffered

Job Description:

SCOPE OF ROLE:

As a member of the Education Team, and under the direct supervision of the ED Program Coordinator, Camp Officer – Non Formal Education will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Non Formal education activities in Camps.

As a member of the Education Team, and under the direct supervision of the ED Programme Coordinator, Camp Officer – Non Formal Education  will establish and maintain healthy relationship in the Camps, particularly in the field of non-formal education and child protection and stakeholders in target communities. Camp Officer – Non Formal Education will contribute to seek required approvals from local authorities and camp management and Camp community in project planning, implementation, and monitoring. Camp Officer – Non Formal Education will conduct regular monitoring and reporting, flagging issues and challenges and proposing changes to project activities to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness. In addition, Camp Officer – Non Formal Education will also ensure the integration of child protection, non-formal education and other interventions, if any, in target communities

Reports to:  ED Program Coordinator

Staff reporting to this post: N/A

SUMMARY OF ROLE :

  • With support from the ED Programme Coordinator, implement and monitor quarterly, monthly and weekly activity plans to achieve expected results.
  • Ensure that all planned activities are implemented on time, to quality measures and within budget as per the work plans. Where challenges arise, ensure that these are flagged early, communicated to ED Program Coordinator.
  • Lead procurement and administrative documents required for program implementation.
  • Plan and organize capacity building training workshops for facilitators and partners.
  • Ensure that project activities are consistent with programming principles and approaches, draw on relevant best practices and lessons learned, enable children to attain their rights and are compliant with donor regulations.

Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of weekly, monthly, progress and other reports, as required

Monitoring, evaluation and learning

  • Participate in needs assessments
  • Collect and compile project data based on the standard formats and submit weekly reports capturing achievements.
  • Participate in team reviews of results and program progress and/or project evaluation when and as requested
  • Share program lessons learned internally with other sectors/departments
