Job Requirements:                                                                         

Education

  • Demonstrated professional work experience and understanding of relevant functions may be considered in lieu of university degree

Experience

  • Previous experience in facilitation, trainings and workshops.
  • Demonstrated experience working with women and girls.
  • Experience in working with children.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, being able to communicate and negotiate complicated issues with non-informed population
  • Good technical understanding of protection and community based approaches
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and strong ability to take initiative
  • Ability to quickly form relationship within the communities
  • Commitment to gender, diversity and human rights.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic. Kurdish will be an asset;
  • Pro-active and helpful attitude, ready to take on variety of new tasks

Job Description:

Support the information volunteers to periodically update service mappings for referrals (health, education, psychosocial, financial support, etc.)

  • Provide technical support to facilitators and Information Volunteers ensuring the compliance with ‘do no harm’ and other protection principles and standards.
  • Support the Mobile Team Officer and the Information Volunteers to identify, plan and organize awareness sessions and events on relevant topics.
  • Support both internal and external referrals in close coordination with Referral assistant and Case managers.
  • Based on service mapping and in coordination with the referrals assistant and case manager, maintain comprehensive knowledge of services providers and make appropriate referrals
  • Make sure to have informed consent from beneficiaries before supporting any referrals
  • Support the Case Manager in organize training sessions for members of the local networks on child protection, GBV, PSS related issues.
  • Report to the Case Manager and Protection Officer on weekly basis and using designated reporting templates.
  • Support the Case Manager and Center Manager to organize regular meetings and group discussions with community leaders in coordination with Case Manager and Center Manager to discuss identify social issues and solutions.
  • Following up with individual information sessions.
  • Participate in the team meetings and provide feedback as required,
  • Liaise with the Security Officers/security focal points in field through providing update information on security situations, significant events and community tensions in a community.
  • Following up on feedback and complaints we receive from other programs
  • Other related assignments.
