Education

  • Demonstrated professional work experience and understanding of relevant functions may be considered in lieu of university degree.
  • Demonstrated professional work experience and understanding of relevant functions may be considered in lieu of university degree.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 months’ experience working with an INGO, NGOs, CBOs and voluntary teams.
  • Previous experience in protection programmers, psychosocial support, social work and community mobilization.
  • Staff Management skills.
  • Commitment to gender, diversity and human rights.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills;
  • Excellent skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point;
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English, Kurdish will be an asset;
  • Pro-active and helpful attitude, ready to take on variety of new tasks;
  • Develops and encourages new and innovative solutions

Job Description:

Planning, monitoring and implementation

  • Effectively manage daily mobile team program activities, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting.
  • Assist the center manager and other relevant officers in the detailed planning of and reporting on Protection activities.
  • Prepare and send the weekly and monthly plan.
  • Prepare daily up-dates, weekly, monthly reports and quarterly evaluation and submit it on time.
  • Monitor the implementation of the program plan in line with organization requirements including proposing any necessary changes.
  • Present progress, achievements of mobile team activities (presentation, magazine, videos, workshops and events).
  • Arrange, prepare, and submit closing month documents.
  • Conduct routine needs assessments and program reviews to ensure successful implementation.
  • Facilitate community assessment and discussions with cooperation with Case Manager, analyze data and report needs, challenges, initiatives and prepare monthly action plan accordingly.
  • Responsible to organize extension service activities and information sessions outside the community center in Camp and non-camp areas.
  • Coordinate regularly with other teams within other programs for integrated activities and comprehensive services specially awareness sessions and information sharing.
  • Ensure participation from beneficiaries in program development, implementation, and evaluation and feedback mechanisms for accountability.
  • Participating in training, supervision and team meetings, and be main Protection focal point for our organization in the field for all mobile team activities.

 Team supervision and staff management.

  • Manage and support mobile team staff (volunteers, mobilizers, social workers) to organize protection activities.
  • Maintain daily attendance sheets for mobilizers, social workers, and Information Volunteers, and verify staff presence on daily basis.
  • In collaboration with the center manager, develop a capacity-building plan for team’s staff.
  • In collaboration with the center manager, prepare a movement plan for the mobile team movements.
  • Manage staff performance, conducting periodic reviews and ensuring work plans are in place to meet staff set goals and targets
  • Ensure gender is fully considered throughout the center activities.
  • Promote a safe and secure work environment; foster a safety and security culture; and ensure consistent application of, and compliance with, the Organization in Syria safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that staff implement and respect COC, our value, best-practice and international standards.

 Coordination

  • Engage community leaders, community-based organizations, and other service providers in target sites, in supporting beneficiaries to access Protection services.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships, including serving as a referral focal point, with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers
