Generic professional competencies for this position:

• Experience working on LFS project implementation in a humanitarian/recovery context

• Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts

• Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities

• Fluency in English, both written and verbal

Context related skills, knowledge and experience:

• Knowledge of the context in Syria

• Knowledge of local languages Arabic/Kurdish

• Experience of managing field teams and working with partners

الوصف الوظيفي:

• Ensure the appropriate and timely implementation, monitoring, coordination, and reporting of all Food Security and Livelihoods projects As such, he/she is responsible to:

• Ensure to organise start-up, review and closure meetings for all projects

• Develop all project work plans for all LFS grants and revise them on a monthly basis, informing the PM whenever delays/constrains are encountered and support in finding solutions;

• Review and update LFS BVAs on a monthly basis ensuring that grants are full spent out;

• Review Project Procurement Matrix on a monthly basis, ensure timely procurement and distributions, informing the PM in case of any issues;

• Develop project reports, and update them on a monthly basis, ensuring they cover all donor reporting indicators.

• Manage the LFS beneficiaries counting database with support of Information Management Officer.

• Identify information gaps and undertake necessary assessments (including market assessments, needs assessments and programme monitoring)

• Contribute to and supervise the development of tools for LFS activity implementation and reporting, ensuring that the same tools are used in all ORG’s projects / programmes;

• Contribute to development of IECs materials for awareness and sensitization activities as well as training materials for capacity building of staff, beneficiaries, ensuring that they are integrated with other sectors of intervention;

• Provide support (direct and at a distance) to the LFS team in Ain Issa and Amuda;

• Alert the LFS PM to all major difficulties encountered in applying recommendations and/or necessary adaptations;

• Promote and ensure that LFS projects/programmes are integrated with other sectors of intervention;

• Promotion of transparency and ethical standards in projects by ensuring that a complaints feedback mechanism is in place, particularly in respect of the beneficiary population;

• Promotion of external and internal evaluations of projects

• Ensure timely monitoring including Baselines/end lines, Post Distribution Monitoring

• Ensure regular follow-up of activities to achieve programme/project objectives

• Support the LFS team and partners in designing projects and monitoring mechanisms relevant to ORG’s Livelihoods and Food Security strategy

• Be involved in the recruitment of staff (defining profiles, interviews and/or complementary tests, technical competence for the project, job description);

• Be responsible for the evaluation of the technical performance of LFS staff;

• Support in the capacity building of the staff, carrying out regular training/refresh training for LFS staff

• Represent ORG in relevant coordination meetings assigned by Manager.

• Ensure archiving of all the documentation required

• Document lessons learned and best practices

• Ensure compliance with all reporting requirements
