متطلبات العمل:

Bachelor in civil engineering / water treatment / hydraulics preferable

 Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in this or other relevant fields, previous NGO experience is an advantage

 Excellent reporting skills including computer skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word,Excel, outlook and powerpoint and construction software program

 Good project management and implementation skills, strong decision making, judgment and motivational skills

 Good technical team management and a capacity to plan activities ahead

 Fluency in Arabic, Kurdish and good English language skills (spoken and written)

 Flexible and creative approach with a proven ability to resolve issues and identify solutions

 Demonstrable high level of interpersonal skills and patience.Ability to travel locally and regionally, if necessary

الوصف الوظيفي:

Under the supervision of the Project Manager and Area Coordinator, the WASH Engineer’s responsibilities include:

1. a) General responsibilities:
2. To work with the local authorities in order to understand the water networks
3. To undertake technical assessments and prepare BoQs for contractors
4. To support the Project Manager to make weekly work plans and field visits
5. To support Project Manager in planning ahead the team movement on the field
6. To ensure the quality and efficiency of all field work done relevant to infrastructure rehabilitation
7. To submit any relevant paperwork (e.g. completion documentation, photos, etc.) to Project Manager at the end of each day with work summary, or as described by line manager
8. To prepare, check the quality and accuracy of all documents submitted by the field staff (beneficiary lists, reports, analysis, forms etc.)
9. To act as a clear communication channel between ACTED program and team, contractors, sub-contractors and beneficiaries
10. To monitor progress of activity implementation and contractors
11. Co-management (with other technical staff) of programs team and any other participating staff while in the field as discussed with Project Manager
12. To draft and follow up of program correspondence and reports in coordination with Project Manager
13. Support the Project Manager in their work with AMEU
14. To work additional hours and some weekends as dictated by the demands of the project
15. b) Reporting:
16. To report on the implementation of activities as per specific program and donor requirements
17. To collect photos and documentation of program implementation and ensure that donor visibility is respected
18. To assist in the identification and location of beneficiaries when requested
19. To write, in English (if possible) field mission reports explicating the assessment made or the progress and difficulties of the field work
20. c) Administration and Other Tasks:
21. To maintain an efficient, organized system of paperwork and reporting for field work
22. To ensure timely departure and return from the field: this includes leaving to the field with all necessary documents and materials to complete a successful workday
23. To monitor the quality of work done by staff under your supervision and their adherence to ACTED internal policies
24. To perform other duties as requested by the project and country management team
25. To punctually represent Acted at the WaSH working group and community meetings
26. To Adhere to Acted values and code of conduct
