Education:Complet ion of secondary school. Add itiona l Training courses i n protection related issues.

Experience:

Job experience: relevan t to the function: 4 years.

Languages:

Fluency in English and work ing knowledge of another relevant UN language or local language

Desirable qualifications and competencies:

Good computer skills.

Completed Protection Learning Programme.

Job Description:

Consistently apply International and Na tiona l Law and applicable UN/ UNHCR and LASC policy, standards and codes of conduct.

Provide counselling on protection issues to persons of concern ; liaise with competent authorities to ensure the issuance of personal and other relevant documentat ion.

Suppo11 activities in protection related AGD based programming with implemen t ing and operationa l partners.

Cond uct prel iminary information gathering and interviews in support of eligibility, status determi nation, durable solutions and social needs assessment.

Contribute to measures to identify, prevent and reduce statelessness.

Contribute to a country-leve l child protection p lan as pa rt of the protect ion strategy.

Contribute to a country-level education plan for persons of concern as pa1t of the protection strategy.

Mon itor Standard Operati ng Proced u res (SOPs) for all protection/solutions activit ies.

Participate in ind ivid ual protection case managemen t includ ing cases of SGBV and child protection. Monitor and report on cases of refou lement, expulsion and other protection inciden ts. Assist in identify ing durable solutions for persons of concern in voluntary rcpah•iation, local in tegration and where appropriate, resettlement.

Contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of protection related AG D based program ming with implementing and operational pa r1ners.

Assist in drafting reports, routine correspond ence, u pdati ng relevant databases and compiling statistics for the protection u nit I section.

Contribute to in itiati ves to enhance national and local protection capacities.
