متطلبات العمل:

  • Completion of secondary school. Degree preferred or experience in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Counseling preferred.
  • Language ability in Arabic required; English strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to helping others.
  • Demonstrated discretion and good judgment
  • Comfort in living and working in the Al Raqqah area.

Priority will be given to candidates with relevant educational background and technical field experience.

الوصف الوظيفي:

The Women’s Center Facilitator will be responsible for creating and leading groups and psychosocial support of vulnerable adolescent girls, including survivors of violence. The Facilitator will organize activities for groups of girls and ensure appropriate support for girls under the age of 18.

  1. Program Planning
  • Work closely with the GBV Officer and Manager to understand program goals and to meet expectations
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly plans for GBV prevention and response activities
  1. Training
  • Identify and train community-based volunteers
  • Organize and lead trainings for partner organizations working in various sectors
  • Organize and lead trainings for community leaders and other key groups
  1. Program Implementation
  • Identify, select and modify workshop resources to meet the needs of clients with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs
  • Observe and evaluate clients’ performance, behavior, social development
  • Provide a positive environment in which women and girls are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
  • Meet workshop and program performance goals
  • Conduct orientation/intake sessions to acquire new participants
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules
  • Instruct clients individually and in groups, using various adult learning methods such as lectures, discussions and group activities
  • Prepare materials and training rooms for workshop activities
  • Work with partners and community members to develop and strengthen referral systems
  • Work with staff and communities to strengthen GBV prevention efforts, including training and information campaigns.
  • Maintain records of activities and produce regular reports
  1. Staff Supervision and Support
  • Contribute to a positive MRFS team environment.
  • Develop support strategies for staff and introduce principles of self care
  1. Coordination
  • Coordinate with all relevant actors and actively participate in GBV coordination meetings
  • Maintain positive relationships and maintain positive representation of the program and organization
  • Maintain positive relationships with community leaders and other stakeholders

Reporting/data collection

 Regularly update data related to the women’s center as well as monitoring of tools such as indicators tracking, activity and work plan tracking, and advise program teams on progress towards indicators.

 Provide timely information for weekly, monthly and quarterly reports proposals and other required  documentations

 Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout MRFS. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of MRFS and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity. Communicates these values to staff and to partners and requires them to adhere to these values.

Accountability:

  • Required to ensure that work maintains high standards of accountability to beneficiaries in line with MRFS Codes of Conduct, and international humanitarian standards
