 Degree in Psychology or Social Sciences with relevant PSS background

 Previous experience with an international NGO for at least ONE YEAR is mandatory

 Arabic oral and written mandatory

 Kurdish or English are desirable

 Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power point)

 Previous experience in psychosocial support activities

 Very good communication and active listening skills

 

الوصف الوظيفي:

Under the technical responsibility of the Psychosocial Technical Advisor, he/she will be in charge of:

  1. ENSURING THE NECESSARY PSYCHOSOCIAL TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO FIELD TEAMS

 Monitoring psychosocial needs of population and beneficiaries.

 Improving responses to these needs by supporting the Technical team on the design and implementation of appropriate Psychosocial Support (PSS) intervention, at the different levels of intervention (hospital and center intervention and communities,) and in the line of the organization strategies.

 Ensuring comprehensive approach to the needs of the organization beneficiaries by working in close collaboration with the Rehabilitation Technical Advisor (Rehab TA), P&O TA, Health Projects officer and Health Projects Manager.

 Ensuring a continuous technical supervision and coaching of the PSS workers through regular joint field visits, case discussions, technical follow-ups and files/reports.

 Keep a tracking of these meetings: dates, participants, outcomes.

 Proposing changes, updates and improvements of relevant psychosocial activities according to the needs and the organization strategy.

 Supervising and manage the implementation of internal and external referrals, performed by the social workers.

 Compile and report rapidly to the line manager on any protection concerns and measures reported by field team.

 In collaboration with the Rehab TA, the P&O TA, the Project officer and the Projects Manager, ensuring the organization pathway for beneficiaries of the organization services.

 Trainings :

 Identify specific training needs, and share findings with the Technical Advisor.

 Contribute towards meeting training needs identified through development/adaptation of training plans, and contents and techniques in close collaboration with PSS technical Advisor and other relevant  technical staff;

 Assess the trainees’ level with the support of the PSS TA, prior to and after training sessions as to adjust the training content accordingly and record data on their improvements.

 Ensure the trainees’ understanding and progress through constructive feedback and appropriate recommendations.

ENSURING THE QUALITY AND THE RELEVANCE OF THE TECHNICAL TOOLS:

 Contributing to and proposing review, changes, updates and/or implementation of the technical tools and documents used at field level in close collaboration with the PSS TA.

 Ensuring their correct implementation by field teams.

  1. ENSURING REGULAR REPORTING TO PARTICIPATE TO THE CAPITALISATION/LESSON LEARNING OF THE PROJECT

 Ensuring regular reporting on his/her activities to the line manager and technical manager.

 Ensuring regular liaison with Health Projects Manager, Projects officer, Rehab TA, and P&O TA, including provision of feedbacks, technical inputs and recommendations as requested.

 Contributing to the elaboration of technical guidelines, lessons-learned documents and protocols as necessary.

 Ensuring the appropriate collection of data by field teams and following and analyzing the data related to PSS activities in close collaboration of the Data Base Manager.

 Collecting the Sources of Verification of PSS activities required by programs.

 Send weekly reports to technical Advisor.

  1. CONTRIBUTING TO TEAM WORK

 Perform weekly meetings and draft weekly minutes of meeting;

 Send weekly reports to the Technical Advisor

 Report some case studies discussed with the PSS staff to the Technical Advisor

 Actively participating to project and mission meetings.

 Participating to the recruitment of field psychosocial staff and appraisals.

 Ensuring a good communication and coordination with other the organization teams (i.e. joint meeting with Rehab team).

 In close collaboration with the Health Projects Manager, update mapping of MHPSS services and useful resources in the areas of intervention.

 Respect the confidentiality of all information and data received And ensure the respect of the confidentiality of beneficiaries by the field team;

 Restrict information sharing only to relevant internal staff and none to external sources.

 Respect and promote the organization’s policies and report to the line manager any non-respect of these policies amongst the teams or partners.

 Address needs and requests in a professional way.

 Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others.
