Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Partnership Coordinator will develop relationships with existing and potential partners in line with strategic priorities. This includes leading through Partnership Roadmap, inclusive of identification, due diligence, go/no go decision making, and establishment of a formal partnership. After due diligence assessments are undertaken and partners identified, the Partnership Coordinator will work with  the core team of program specialists to determine the most appropriate means to enhance partner efficiency and effectiveness and to support partners to build capacity in identified areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain the organizational Partnership Approach and systems.
  • Identify potential partners in North East Syria (NES) (in coordination with program teams) to determine their strategic suitability to work with the organization.
  • Lead, with finance department focal points, on due diligence assessments and reporting that include analysis of mutual values, principles, governance, structure, accountability, compliance, safety and security and management systems (as per Partnership SOP).
  • Lead the partnership committee and facilitate the go/no-go process for new partnerships, securing the appropriate documentation and approvals, liaising with relevant departments in the selection process where necessary.
  • Explore and pursue new and innovative partnership opportunities within the framework of the partnership and capacity building strategies.
  • Manage pool of vetted partner organisations with particular focus on partner relationships.
  • Maintain communication with all partners to ensure consistent relationships, up to date information, and ongoing professionalization.
  • Work with Programme Managers to ensure that communication between the organization and Partners is clear and issues are solved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure partner portfolio is reflective of organization’s strategic plans and, with the support of the NES Head of Programs, ensure that partners are aware of future planning and potential opportunities.
  • Facilitate call for proposal process for new funding opportunities for partner organizations and establish standard proposal review and evaluation process for field office.
  • Responsible for storage and updating of documentation for all vetted partners. This includes developing partnership database, prepare partner profiles and document due diligence and OCA assessments.
  • Establish partner performance management system in line with country office partnership SOPs.
  • Lead organizational capacity assessment (OCA) process for selected and potential partners in coordination with relevant departments at field office level.
  • Facilitate the development and regular updating of capacity building work plans based on partner consultation and tailored to each partner’s needs.
  • Develop sub-grant monitoring plans in consultation with budget holders and PDQ manager to ensure regular monitoring system established for all sub-grants.
  • Lead field office partnership decision making committee and represent the organization in internal and external partnership working groups.
  • Promote use of partnerships in new programming where relevant, identifying opportunities to include partners within proposal development or in modifications of existing programs, including selecting partners for new sub agreements and grants.
  • Liaise and proactively network with relevant local authorities and non-governmental partners working on partnerships in the NES.
